Is Sensible Soccer on PS5?

What the store search showed

Searching the US PlayStation store for Sensible Soccer, Sensible World of Soccer, and Sensible Soccer 2006 did not surface a Sensible product. The result grid is drawn by the store page after it loads, so this is a weaker reading than Nintendo's plain no-results sentence. I am not writing that Sony issued a statement.

Escapist's 4 February 2025 backwards-compatibility guide matches Sony's public position: PS5 does not play the old PS1, PS2, and PS3 disc libraries as a set. A PS1 Sensible disc is not a PS5 game.

Sociable Soccer is not the remaster

Jon Hare, who designed Sensible Soccer, later worked on Sociable Soccer. The Guardian wrote about that on 15 November 2023. It is a new series.

Sociable Soccer 25 was removed from digital stores. The official site said so on 31 March 2026. The game you can find now is Sociable Soccer Champions. A South African PlayStation store page exists for Champions, published by Sporty Games Limited, priced at R299 when I read it. The date on that page is written in a way that can be read as 10 June or 6 October 2026, so I am not picking one.

The older platforms page on sociablesoccer.com still talks about 25 and a PS5 that is coming soon. I treat that page as stale next to the 31 March notice and the Champions store entry.
