Editorial policy

A sentence on this site is either tied to a public page with a date, or it is not on the site. Two independent sources make a fact I will state flatly. One source stays attached to its name. A blank is better than a guess.

The rules

Store prices, search pages, and version lists are readings from a day. The day on this edition is 30 October 2026. If GOG changes a sale, the old number is a snapshot, and the sentence should say so.

The same author on GitHub, on a personal site, and on itch.io counts once. A news article by someone else counts as the second voice. That is why OpenSWOS claims cite Indie Retro News beside the readme.

When pages disagree, both stay. Tower Studios on the Switch page for Champions and Sporty Games Limited on the PlayStation page are the current example. The 7 January 2026 day for the Amiga 25/26 pack is another: one article, so the summary says January 2026.

Corrections

Write to [email protected] with the page address and the source you trust. A correction gets a date in the page's checked line when the text changes. There is no separate public ledger yet. This policy is the method.

We do not ask anyone to boot a console before a sentence can be published. Public pages are the record. A video title, description, and upload date count. A look inside a client is not a requirement, and it is not something this edition claims.

Questions people ask

Do you use star ratings as a review?

No. A GOG rating is quoted as the store's number, with the count of ratings, and it is not our score.

What if a manual scan is messy?

We quote the idea and link the PDF. We do not invent a button name the scan does not show.

Who is the author?

The sensiblesoccer.net editorial desk. A personal playing biography was not part of the material for this edition.
