Play Sensible Soccer online

Online Sensible Soccer in 2026 means OpenSWOS, which lists GGPO-style rollback netplay, or a SWOS United league that already has a season running. It does not mean a browser tab that contains the full game for free.

The browser button is not a free game

openswos.net has a play-in-browser entrance. The install page says the browser build is the same engine: setup reads a local GOG copy or Amiga disks and does not download teams or music. I am not embedding that page, because it would ask every visitor for files this site does not have the right to hand out.

Indie Retro News, writing on 21 October 2026, described the project as free, AGA-capable, and dependent on two ADF disks plus a GOG PC copy. That is a second source for the data rule, separate from the author's own site.

Where matches are actually organised

SWOS United's online-leagues page, read on 30 October 2026, listed running competitions including ASL, ISSF, Serie A, Ekstraklasa, DSL, La Liga, UK, TR, NED, APL, SLP, Earthleague, and PCL. I am linking the index rather than copying fixtures.

Sensible Soccer 2006 is the wrong game if you want netplay. Eurogamer's review said that 2006 release had no online matches.

Questions people ask

Can two people play on one keyboard?

No, according to the OpenSWOS playing notes: the keyboard is single-player and player two needs a gamepad. Two gamepads can also be used. This author-only control mapping is separate from online rollback.

swos 96/97 oyna

Turkish searches for a place to play 96/97 online lead here. Use OpenSWOS with your own data, or a SWOS United league. I am not linking an APK.

Does the browser build support online play?

The project documents a browser build. It does not document rollback inside that browser build, so I am not claiming it.
